Budget funds spent illegally in North Osetia

The Accounts Chamber of the Russian Federation "has revealed breaches in the using of federal budget and off-budget funds in the republic of North Osetia." In particular, 18 out of 20 million rubles, the Russian Social Insurance Fund allotted to its republican branch to organize sanatorium-and-spa treatment of victims of the September 2004 terror attack in Beslan, were illegally spent on the fund's current operations, reported ITAR-TASS referring to the Chamber's materials.
