Putin offers to send Caucasians to Syria

Natives of Northern Caucasus would arouse confidence in residents of Syria, both as Russian militaries, and as Sunnis, Vladimir Putin suggested at his press conference.

A RIA "Dagestan" journalist asked him about prospects for a complete liquidation of terrorists in Syria.

In his answer, Russian President said that "low levels of education and living are main sources of terrorism. Syria alone wouldn't cope with it; and Russia wouldn't either," the Meduza quotes Mr Putin as saying.

He also expressed the idea of sending natives of Northern Caucasus to Syria as policemen, "because they are Sunnis and Russian servicemen."
