A Petersburg woman to get 50,000 roubles after operation against Caucasian militants

In Saint Petersburg, the court has awarded a local woman with compensation for damage in the amount of 50,000 roubles. Her apartment was damaged during a special operation to detain militants from Kabardino-Balkaria. The plaintiff asked to pay her 325,967 roubles.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on August 17, 2016, during a special operation conducted in a high-rise building in Saint Petersburg, four persons were killed, including Zalim Shebzukhov, one of the leaders of North-Caucasian militants, Astemir Sheriev, and Vyacheslav Nyrov.

The court has granted in part the claim filed by the Petersburg woman, explained Alexander Torvard, who represented the plaintiff. According to him, the property in the apartment was badly damaged.

The plaintiff herself has noted she is still unable to put in order the damaged apartment, in which only the bathroom was not affected. The woman takes care of her children without a husband, and her own money was enough only to conduct minimum repair.
