Kadyrov's statement about blood feud bewilders Telegram users

Ramzan Kadyrov's threat to declare blood feud against Senator Kerimov and State Duma MPs from Ingushetia and Dagestan is puzzling, since they are related to a business conflict, and not the murder of a relative, users have pointed out in Telegram channels of the Caucasus.

The blood feud is not declared because of business conflicts or criticism; and in the Vainakh traditions there is no such thing as a threat to declare blood feud, the Caucasian experts interviewed by the "Caucasian Knot" have commented on Ramzan Kadyrov's words.

The Kadyrov's statement with a blood feud threat has to do with the struggle for control over the Wildberries, Igor Dimitriev, a political consultant, believes.

On October 9, Ramzan Kadyrov, while speaking about the conflict around the Wildberries Company, mentioned Suleiman Kerimov, Senator from Dagestan, and Russian State Duma MPs, Bekkhan Barakhoev and Rizvan Kurbanov. He called on them to prove their non-involvement in ordering his murder and warned of his readiness to declare a blood feud against them. For more details about the conflict, watch the video.

"What blood feud if no relative has been killed?" one of the users of the "Ekho" Dagestan Telegram channel was surprised.

"They killed [...] Ingushes; and a blood feud is against them? How can we understand that?" the user AvtoMasla has asked.

In the Telegram channel of the Ingush outlet "Fortanga", many commentators have criticized the head of Chechnya.

Commentators in the Telegram channel opposed to Chechen authorities have also expressed scepticism about Kadyrov's statement. "Don't listen to this guy; he and his entourage are causing unrest among fraternal nations," the user Garun wrote, in particular.

Let us remind you that during a meeting of Ingush and Chechen delegations in Moscow, Adam Delimkhanov, a State Duma MP from Chechnya placed responsibility for the incident on Bekkhan Barakhoev, an MP from Ingushetia.
