According to one of the believers, today, more than 70 law enforcers, including armed fighters from the National Guard of Russia and field investigators from the Stavropol Territory Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), have cordoned off the mosque in the Belorechensky village.

During the Friday prayer, the mosque was approached by three Ural transportation lorries, two others with bars for detainees and special cars. Law enforcers explained the accumulation of the special vehicles by the operative and search measures to "identify persons who might have been involved in criminal activities," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by a source who preferred to remain anonymous.

"They block groups of five believers at the exit from the mosque. The people with valid IDs are released. Others who have forgotten their IDs will likely to be detained now. Law enforcers behave politely," reported a believer from the mosque.
