Wanted pupil surrenders in Tbilisi

The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Georgia has reported on the voluntary surrender of the teenager, who was searched in connection with the murder of his peer during a brawl near the school.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 1, as a result of a brawl that broke out near one of Tbilisi schools, two teenagers were stabbed. One of them died on the way to the hospital, the other was hospitalized in a critical condition and died a day later. The suspect in killing one of them was detained on the same day; his alleged accomplice, who attacked the other teenager, was put on the wanted list.

Tonight, the police have reported that the wanted teenager had surrendered. According to Tariel Kakabadze, his advocate, the teen's surrender was facilitated by his relatives after they found him, the "InterPressNews" reports.

A criminal case has been opened against both defendants on the fact of the murder of two schoolchildren in Tbilisi under the article of "premeditated murder under aggravating circumstances of a minor or a person in a helpless state", which is punishable by imprisonment for 13 to 17 years, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.

Let us remind you that today the police detained three other people under the case. One of them is accused of harbouring the crime, and the other two – of helping the minor killer to escape.
