A Rostov resident demands 500,000 roubles of compensation from McDonald's Company

A resident of Rostov-on-Don has appealed to the Tver District Court of Moscow with a claim for 543,000 roubles against the McDonald's Company about compensation for moral and material harm for hot coffee spilled on him at a cafe. This was reported by advocate Pyotr Dombrovitsky.

According to the advocate, the consideration of the case is scheduled for November 29.

On June 11, the Rostov resident drove to a McCafé in Rostov-on-Don. When handing over an order through a car's window, a McCafé employee overturned a glass with hot coffee and spilled it on the man.

The victim got a burn and was not able to perform his work for more than a month. Besides, the spilled drink damaged the car, and repairs took 42,000 roubles.

This is not the first time when Russian citizens file claims against the McDonald's Company. In September 2015, the Tver Court of Moscow obliged the Company to pay 320,000 roubles in favour of a Moscow resident, whose three-year-old daughter was also injured with hot coffee.
