The Supreme Court (SC) of Ingushetia has upheld the decision to keep in custody until February 10 2018, Khasan Esmurziev, a resident of Nazran, accused of storing weapons and explosives, reports the message posted today on the website of the Supreme Court for Ingushetia.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on August 1, Khasan Esmurziev was taken into custody on the charge of illicit trafficking in arms and ammunition. Relatives of the defendant claimed he had been subjected to torture after his detention.

According to the investigators' version, Khasan Esmurziev was involved in the activities of the banned terrorist organization "Islamic State" (IS). He kept and transferred money, weapons, and improvised explosive devices (IEDs) to militants, and he also took part in the preparation of a terror act during the New Year 2017 celebration in Moscow.
