Resident of Dagestan convicted for links with militants

The court has found a resident of Dagestan to be a member of the armed underground and sentenced him to eight years in prison.

The court has established that in 2009 the man joined an illegal armed formation (IAF) in Makhachkala and supported its activities on commands of the militants' leader. This is reported on the website of the Prosecutor's Office of Dagestan.
