Gold deposit found in Southern Dagestan
Deposits of gold-bearing ores were found near the village of Kurush, Dokuzparin District near the border with Azerbaijan. The gold reserves in the mine are estimated at no less than 100 tons.
Besides, scientists believe that there may be more gold here, since the gold vein has branches within the mountain thickness.
Geologists talked about the probable presence of gold deposits in the territory of the so-called Kurushmadin ore field ten years ago, but the exact location thereof has just been established, the "Chernovik" weekly reports today.
However, the gold mining process in the mountains is very difficult: to get a few grams of gold, one need to wash off a ton of ore or soil, the "Vesti.ru" reports citing experts.
