In Krasnodar, court leaves Pavel Grib under arrest

The Krasnodar Territorial Court has dismissed the appeal of Pavel Grib, a citizen of Ukraine, accused of terrorism, and left him in custody.

19-year-old citizen Pavel Grib disappeared in Belarus in late August, and on September 7 was found in Krasnodar SIZO (pre-trial prison) No. 5. The territorial FSB branch informed Ukrainian diplomats that Pavel Grib was kept there charged under Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (terrorism).

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 18, the Oktiabrsky District Court of Krasnodar left Pavel Grib in custody until January 4, despite his complaint about the deterioration of his health state and problems with obtaining medicine. The young man suffers from chronic decease, and he urgently needs surgery, stated Professor Vasily Pritula.

According to the press service of the Krasnodar Territorial Court, today, the decision of the Oktiabrsky District Court of Krasnodar has been left without changes, the RIA "Novosti" reports.

"We demand from the Russian Federation to release Ukrainian citizen Pavel Grib who was illegally detained," Maryana Betsa, the spokesperson for the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), has written in her Twitter today.

Besides, today, the General Consulate of Ukraine in Rostov-on-Don has received an official response from the FSB Department for the Krasnodar Territory with a dismissal of the request to let Ukrainian doctors visit Pavel Grib, the "Censor.net" reports.
