A resident of the village of Verkhnyaya Zhemtala, convicted for aiding militants, remained at large for more than four years, the Prosecutor's Office of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR) has reported.

The Prosecutor's Office of the KBR's Cherek District has sent the 31-year-old man sentenced for aiding militants to colony.

On August 7, 2013, the Lesken District Court of the KBR sentenced the young man to nine months of colony.
