NAC releases a video with interrogation of four detained Dagestanis

Natives of Dagestan suspected of involvement in the terrorist organization "Islamic State" (IS) banned in Russia have voiced the confessions. This is evidenced by a video record released by the National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC).

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that four natives of Dagestan were detained in Moscow and Makhachkala on October 13 and 14. They are members of an IS dormant unit, reported the NAC. According to its information, the detainees confessed to plotting terror acts in Dagestan, attempts on law enforcers and soldiers.

The video record of the NAC's information centre released by the RBC shows how field investigators put a knife and an axe next to a detainee. One of the law enforcers asks: "To whom do the knife and then axe belong?” "They are mine," the detainee replies.

In another video record released on YouTube by the "Russia 24" TV Channel, one of the detainees describes in detail improvised explosive devices (IEDs). Another detainee says he was to buy arms to attack law enforcers. "We were to fight, since we wanted to introduce Sharia law in the Caucasus," the detainee says.
