Adnan Khuade files cassation appeal to Adygea’s SC

In the course of the consideration of the appeal filed by Circassian activist Adnan Khuade, violations were committed, and his cassation appeal against the verdict was sent to the Supreme Court (SC) of Adygea. This was reported by Iland Abregov, an advocate of the activist.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on January 17, 2017, Adnan Khuade was sentenced by the Maikop City Court to one year and eight months of restriction of liberty on the charge of an attempt to give a small bribe.

According to Iland Abregov, during the consideration of the appeal, the judicial board, in violation of the law, "dismissed the defence's oral and written motion." It dealt with a request to view the entire video from a surveillance camera installed in a car of the road-and-patrol service (known as DPS) inspectors. The court, among other things, refused to examine the fragments of the video "proving the fact of provocation by the DPS inspectors," said Iland Abregov as quoted by the "Kavkaz.Realii".

Let us remind you that in November 2014, Adnan Khuade was among the persons who signed the appeal of activists from Circassian public organizations to the authorities of Poland with a request to recognize the genocide of Circassians in the 19th century.
