Soldier from Dagestan suspected of shelling his colleagues killed during detention

Gasan Abdulakhadov, a native of Dagestan, suspected of killing three soldiers at a firing range in the Amur Region, was fatally wounded in a shootout during his detention. This was reported by the press service of the Eastern Military District.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on September 29, soldier Gasan Abdulakhadov, born in 1994, shelled at a group of his colleagues during a planned night shooting at a military training ground in the Amur Region. As a result, an officer and two soldiers were killed and two other soldiers were wounded. According to the press service of the Belogorsk Mayor, the suspect fled the crime scene with four magazines of cartridges.

The antiterrorist unit of the military garrison for the Eastern Military District cordoned off the soldier who had escaped with weapon from the military training ground in the Amur Region.

During the detention, the soldier opened fire and was killed by return fire, the RIA "Novosti" reports today with reference to the press service of the Eastern Military District.

According to the Russian Ministry of Defence (MoD), investigators consider various versions, including a nervous breakdown, concerning the motives of the soldier who shelled his colleagues at the military training ground, the "Lenta.ru" reports.
