Killings, abductions

A local resident, Shirvani Dukayev, b. 1985, was abducted by unidentified people in camouflage uniforms while leaving a mosque in Achkhoi-Martan, Chechnya, on 15 April 2005, the Russian-Chechen Friendship Society says.

Three rebels were killed in an operation in Batash, Dagestan, Chechnya's First Deputy Prime Minister Ramzan Kadyrov told Interfax. One Chechen law enforcement agent sustained gunshot wounds.
