"Novaya Gazeta" calls on to re-check death reasons of people from "execution list"

The official death reasons of five Chechen residents from the "execution list" need re-examination with exhumation. Also, the information about the two citizens of Chechnya from the same list, who were brought to meet Tatiana Moskalkova, the Russian Ombudsperson, should be clarified, the “Novaya Gazeta” writes.

Ms Moskalkova reported on September 21 that three persons from the "execution list" died after warfare in Chechnya; two others died a natural death. Also on September 21, the BBC reported, citing relatives of the missing people from the “execution list” that prior to Moskalkova’s visit they received threats from power agents.

As a result of Tatiana Moskalkova’s visit, at least five burial places of persons from the "execution list" were found, which was a help to investigators, the “Novaya Gazeta” reports.

The information about the death of one of the republic’s residents announced by Moskalkova was the first official confirmation of his death.

However, the official information about the two residents of Chechnya from the above list, who were presented to Moskalkova alive, is questionable, since in July their relatives knew nothing about their "resurrection".

Besides, Moskalkova did not see the third republic’s resident, who was also declared alive.
