Separatists report abuse

On the night of 5 May, the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) took the family of the Chechen rebel leader Doku Umarov hostage, Chechen separatist website Kavkaz-Center says. Doku Umarov's father, wife and one-year-old son are reported to have been taken hostage. Several months ago his brothers and their family members had been taken hostage, according to the website.
