Body of Kovrov resident found dead in Dagestan not given out to relatives

Family members of Sharip Zaipullaev, a resident of the Vladimir Region, who was kidnapped and then found dead in a blown-up car, were invited to re-take DNA sample tests. The body has not yet been given out for burial, the man's relatives reported.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on July 7, Sharip Zaipullaev, a 37-year-old resident of the city of Kovrov, came to Dagestan to visit his relatives and disappeared. His relatives reported they learned from eyewitnesses that the man was taken away by men in masks, who drove cars without state registration numbers. On July 10, Sharip Zaipullaev was found dead: his remains were found in a blown-up car in Dagestan.

According to a source from the Investigating Department for Dagestan of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF), till present, the person whose remains were found in the blown-up car has not yet been identified. However, the relatives recognized that the remains belonged to disappeared Sharip Zaipullaev.

The Sharip Zaipullaev's family members have reported that they are repeatedly called to re-take DNA sample tests.

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by one of the Sharip Zaipullaev's relatives that initially, they believed that the remains of the person found in the blown-up car belonged to Sharip Zaipullaev, but after viewing the photos from the place of the incident they started to doubt that.

"His remains were not given out to us for burial, although they promised to give his body out within three days. And they do not allow relatives visiting the morgue to re-examine the corpse," the relative said. He has also noted that the Sharip Zaipullaev's family members intend to carry out an independent examination of the remains.
