Nalchik residents hold picket with anticorruption and social demands

In Nalchik, picketers have demanded from the authorities to investigate corruption crimes and solve social problems. The protestors have also stated that they support the demands of truck drivers and low-income families.

Today, about 20 people have come to an anticorruption picket in Nalchik. They have noted that the event "has not been arranged by oppositionist Alexei Navalny."

Today, many cities of Russia, including Moscow and cities of the south of the country, host actions of Alexei Navalny's supporters. In Krasnodar, they demanded the resignation of President Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev and admission of Alexei Navalny to the presidential election of 2018.

Natalia Tokareva, one of the organizers of the action, has noted that the picketers "do not agree with the situation when corruption crimes are almost not investigated in the country."

"There are no normal roads, medicine, education, normal wages and pensions. In recent years, only private palaces appear in the republic," said Anastasia Emelyanova, a picketer.

Olga, a resident of Nalchik, has explained her participation in the picket by the fact that she has been waiting in a line for social housing for 36 years. According to her, she lives in a dormitory with her son. During that time, the line advanced by 12 people, since about one person in three years got housing.
