"Sasna Tsrer" supporters hold march in Yerevan

More than 50 people have marched to the building of the court of the administrative districts of Erebuni and Nubarashen, where today, the first trial in the case against 14 members of the unit "Sasna Tsrer" (Daredevils of Sassoun) was to be held. The activists have demanded to release members of the "Sasna Tsrer" and all political prisoners of the country, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.

On July 17-July 31, inYerevan, the armed unit "Sasna Tsrer" kept the building of the police patrol-and-post service regiment. On July 18, law enforcers detained nine supporters of the opposition near the building.

The march in support of the "Sasna Tsrer" members began in Freedom Square in Yerevan. According to organizers, the march gathered more than 50 people. In their hands, the activists were holding an Armenian flag and the symbols of the "Sasna Tsrer", as well as posters with images of members of the unit "Sasna Tsrer" and slogans reading: "My judge is my people!"

During the march, the supporters of the "Sasna Tsrer" stopped in front of the entrance to the building of the police regiment, earlier held by the rebels for 15 days. No incidents between the activists and the police occurred during the protest action.

The court session scheduled for today has been rescheduled for June 21. Till present, the reasons for the postponement have not been specified yet.
