Round table on problem of mines

Representatives of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) gathered for a round table discussion in the Nazran office of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) on December 16-17. The discussion was devoted to the work of the ICRC in the Northern Caucasus, Russia, and other countries of the world. Activists of more than 20 international NGOs working in Ingushetia as well as journalists took part in the forum. "The 2004 Nairobi Summit on a Mine Free World in known to have been held in late November - early December 2004. During the meeting in Ingushetia, we also wanted to inform our colleagues of the most important documents and decisions adopted during that summit," Askar Umarbekov, head of the ICRC office in Ingushetia, said in his interview with the Caucasian Knot correspondent.
