ICRC employee disappears in Chechnya

An employee of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) disappeared in the capital of Chechnya, Grozny, on January 13, a source in the Chechen Interior Ministry told the Caucasian Knot correspondent. Details of the happening have not been established so far. "According to the reports we have now, Said Husein Deniyev, an employee of the ICRC office, went missing. He left the office of the organization, which is on a central street of Grozny, in the afternoon yesterday together with two men, who haven't been identified yet. There's been no news from him since then," the source said.

According to the officer, Chechen law enforcers are checking information about the happening and searching for the people who went away in a car together with Said Husein Deniyev.
