European Court considers Viktoria Sypchenko's claim

The European Court of Human Rights is considering a claim of Viktoria Sypchenko, a resident of the town of Bataysk, Rostov Region. Earlier, she was put on probation for three years under the article "Fraud". Viktoria was pregnant, nevertheless she was under arrest in the course of investigation. According to Stanislav Velikoredchanin, a member of the Rostov Region governor's human rights commission, law enforcement agencies simply paid no attention to Viktoria's pregnancy. Only in the courtroom, detention in an investigatory isolation ward was changed for a written undertaking not to leave a place as a preventive punishment.

In the suit filed with the Strasbourg court, Viktoria complaints about cruel treatment and illegal arrest.
