Andreas Gross voices doubt about holding of fair elections in Azerbaijan

In his exclusive interview with the Caucasian Knot correspondent, Andreas Gross, the member of the PACE Committee on the Honoring of Obligations and Commitments by Member States of the Council of Europe (Monitoring Committee) and co-rapporteur on Azerbaijan, said that the aim of his present visit was to monitor municipal elections in Azerbaijan. "I'm going to compare the present and previous elections, and I fear that my hope for free elections in Azerbaijan won't come true this time either. The election itself will be formal by nature as main political parties decided to boycott it," Mr Gross said.
