Georgian parliamentarians prepare document on civic integration

The Committee on Human Rights and Civic Integration of the Georgian parliament is preparing a concept of civic integration, chairwoman of the committee Elena Tevdoradze told the Caucasian Knot correspondent commenting on the discontent of Azerbaijanians living in Georgia. "The concept will hold tasks for the Cabinet, and each ministry will have to participate in the fulfillment of these tasks," Ms Tevdoradze said.

Among the things the Azerbaijanians are dissatisfied with is the fact that approximately 70% of them cannot legally rent and take possession of land plots. "I'm sure the resolution of the question will not be shelved," she added.

Ms Tevdoradze called statements about repressions against Azerbaijanians in Georgia "exaggerated".
