Victim in Demerchyan's case declares no attitude to "Dauriya-Stroy" Company

At the trial of Mardiros Demerchyan, a builder of Olympic facilities in Sochi, Nikolai Krasko, who figures in the case as a suffered party, has stated that he had nothing to do with the establishment of the company, which was building Olympic facilities; he does not know Demerchyan, accused of stealing a cable from the Olympic construction site; and does not regard himself as a suffered party in the case.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Demerchyan had worked in Sochi at the construction of Olympic facilities and was detained on June 12, 2013, on charges of stealing building materials.

On September 29, it became known that the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) had communicated the complaint lodged by Demerchyan, who stated that he was tortured at the police.

Nikolai Krasko has stated that he does not know the defendant; he is not the founder of the "Dauriya-Stroy" Company. According to his story, policemen from Adler asked him to sign the application, saying that otherwise he would have to go to Sochi to testify.

He explained the fact that 66 companies, including offshore ones, had been registered to his name, by losing his passport in 2013.

The advocate Alexander Boichenko has drawn attention to the pressure on Krasko by the policemen, who accompanied him to the notary. He also pointed to the actions of the notary, who had not demanded from Krasko a confirmation that he was really the person he claimed to be.
