OSCE Minsk Group 'reflects Armenia's position in Karabakh conflict'

Commenting on the situation with negotiations for Nagorny Karabakh to Radio Free Europe, Stephen Mann, who represents the United States in the OSCE Minsk Group, stated that "the discussion about the Karabakh conflict to be held by the UN General Assembly will adversely affect the process of negotiations on the whole."

In his interview with the Caucasian Knot correspondent, political scientist Mubariz Akhmedoglu said: "Being an OSCE structure temporarily created to fulfill a mediation mission for the resolution of the Karabakh problem, the Minsk Group simply cannot make an internationally recognized political and legal assessment of the actions of conflicting parties. The Minsk Group cochairmen's position completely reflects Armenia's interests. The cochairmen alluded that Azerbaijan would have to make serious concessions, taking into account that a part of Azerbaijan's territory is occupied by Armenia."
