Krasnodar "Orthodox Patrol" threatens owners of night clubs with raids on Halloween

In Krasnodar, about a dozen Orthodox activists will take part in raids to night clubs and bars holding Halloween parties. This was announced by Roman Plyuta, the leader of the "Orthodox Union".

The activist has described Halloween as a satanic event and expressed his confidence that people celebrate it because it is imposed by commercial companies.

"We have liberal laws, and therefore we cannot ban the celebration of Halloween. However, we will closely watch night clubs to prevent incitement to ethnic hatred and insult of the feelings of believers," emphasized Roman Plyuta.

As an example of unacceptable, according to Orthodox activists, behaviour, Roman Plyuta has mentioned an incident of 2015, when one of the Krasnodar night clubs showed its visitors a head of a pig with a cross drawn on it, laid out on a platter. In case of recurrence of such incidents, the "Orthodox Union" will address owners of the night clubs and appeal to the police, stated Roman Plyuta as quoted by the "Bloknot.Ru" on October 28. The edition also reports that such raids are to be also held in Rostov-on-Don, but it does not disclose the source of the information.
