Greek company accused of bribing Armenian officials

"I've got a video record of how two different persons are giving evidence that the ArmenTel majority owner, the Greek company OTE, promised some Armenian officials a bribe of $7 million for reserving the monopoly of ArmenTel in the sphere of telecommunication," Arshak Sadoian, chairman of the Union of National Democrats and deputy of the Armenian National Assembly for the Justice faction, announced. "OTE will give the bribe in case the Armenian side keeps its promise, i.e. reserves the monopoly, for two months, until the Greek company sells its share in ArmenTel.

The Greek company OTE owns 90% of the shares of the Armenian communication operator, the ArmenTel company.
