In Volgograd Region, mothers of many children complain about delays in payments of children benefits

Mothers with many children have demanded from Andrei Bocharov, Governor of the Volgograd Region, to solve the problem of delayed payments of child benefits. Besides, they began collecting signatures under the online petition posted on the website "Change.org".

According to the people, who signed the petition, the payments of child benefits are regularly delayed.

"Because of the constant delays, we have to spend the entire salary to pay off our debts, and after that we are short of money for food and clothing," noted Nadezhda Kalinchenko, a resident of the city of Volzhsky.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 24, 2015, the State Duma adopted a project of the Social Code, defining the measures for state support of residents. The trade union of the Volgograd Region claimed that the Social Code would worsen the situation of more than 20 categories of recipients of benefits in the Volgograd Region.

On June 10, amid protests of opponents of the Social Code, it was modified to increase the number of recipients of benefits and facilitate the procedure for provision of benefits.
