Azerbaijan wants to prevent civilians' migration to occupied territory

The Azerbaijan authorities raise their concern about the artificial and illegal, as they think, migration of civilians to the territory occupied by Armenia, the Caucasian Knot correspondent was told in the Azerbaijan Foreign Ministry. Such a policy implemented by Armenia has a negative effect on the process of resolving the Armenian-Azerbaijan conflict by peaceful means, Metin Mirza, head of the ministry's press service, said. In his words, in order to prevent such activity, the Azerbaijan authorities addressed a request to the UN leadership to put the question "On the Situation on the Occupied Territory of Azerbaijan" on the agenda of the 59th Session of the UN General Assembly. Turkey and other members of the Organization of the Islamic Conference have already supported this proposal of the Azerbaijan side, Mr Mirza added.
