Japan company writes report about Azerbaijan's power system

Specialists of the Japan consulting company TEPCO (Tokyo Electric Power Company) have drawn up a final report summing up the analysis of Azerbaijan's energy sector. The Caucasian Knot correspondent was told about it in the press service of the Azerenergy joint-stock company.

Results of the study were announced during a final seminar in Baku. Its participants were government officials and representatives of Azerenergy. TEPCO experts had studied documents and annual indices, forecasts and analyses in the field.

The task of TEPCO's mission is to show the real situation in the country's power system, to determine the reform rate in the field, and to reveal sectors that are in urgent need of investment. This will help the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) to determine its position concerning directions of further joint work with Azerbaijan.

TEPCO's final report in which remarks and proposals will be taken into account will be presented in September.
