Advocate confirms new case against owner of "Domodedovo" Airport

Relatives of casualties and victims of the double terror act in "Domodedovo" Airport demand to initiate a new case against Dmitry Kamenschik, the airport owner, said the advocate Igor Trunov.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that relatives had stated earlier that the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) should resume the criminal investigation into the terror acts committed in 2004 in the Tu-134 and Tu-154 aircrafts, which flew from Moscow to Sochi and Volgograd.

On August 24, 2004, as a result of triggering the explosive devices brought aboard the above aircrafts by female suicide bombers, two passenger aircraft were crashed, namely: a Tu-154 of the "Siberia" Airline (killing 46 people) and a Tu-134 of the "Air Volga" Airline (killing 44 people).

"Today, we are submitting an application to the ICRF demanding to institute a criminal case against Kamenschik and other persons involved in the 2004 events. We believe that the above suicide bombers could get onboard the aircrafts through the fault of Kamenschik, who had failed to organize a proper security system at the 'Domodedovo' Airport," the RIA "Novosti" quotes Igor Trunov as saying.
