Presidential candidate calls to be fair

On August 3, one of the candidates for the Chechen presidency, Abdula Bugayev, who is a branch director of the Modern Humanitarian Academy, called "to be fair during the election". Mr Bugayev said it to a local TV station, in a live broadcast of a 4-minute election appearance assigned to the candidates.

In Mr Bugayev's opinion, only the fair election can change the situation in Chechnya. "I call on everybody to be fair. I call to be active. Only the fair election can stabilize the situation," Abdula Bugayev said.

At the same time, he raised his concern about the composition of election commissions. "It worries me that one and the same people have been working in election commissions since 1995. Much depends on their work, honesty, and decency," he said.
