Two persons detained in Krasnodar Territory on suspicion of having links with the IS

One of the detainees, according to law enforcers, took part in the activities of the "Islamic State" (IS), which is banned in Russia; the second is suspected of complicity.

The investigating division of the FSB department for the Krasnodar Territory has opened criminal cases against the detainees under Article 205.5 of the Russian Criminal Code (organization of activities of a terrorist organization and participation in the activities thereof). The maximum penalty under this article is 10 years of imprisonment.

"The suspected participant and accomplice of the terrorist organization were indentified and detained within another case against a native from Northern Caucasus, who tried to join the IS," the "Interfax-South" quotes the message of the regional FSB today.

So far, there are no comments of detainees or their official representatives.
