Terrorist act prevented in Ingushetia

Officers of Ingushetia's law enforcement agencies discovered a large ammo cache on the outskirts of Ali-Yurt, Nazran district, while conducting some investigation activities on June 26.

This is what the Ingush Internal Affairs Ministry told Caucasian Knot's correspondent. The cache contained four Fagot ("Bassoon") antitank missiles, according to the investigators. "On Friday night, the investigators received information that gunmen were preparing an attack on the government premises in Magas in the next few days," a source in the republican Internal Affairs Ministry said. "While conducting investigation activities, officers of a mobile unit of the republican Internal Affairs Ministry discovered some Fagot antitank systems which were ready to use on the outskirts of Ali-Yurt. All the four missiles were directed towards Magas, according to specialists."

The ammo was neutralized by the bomb squad arriving at the scene. The Ingush prosecutor's office took legal action on this fact under the Article "Terrorism" of the Russian Crime Code. A search is running for people involved in the preparation for the act of terrorism.
