Administrator of website "Kavkaz-Centre" killed in Turkey

Abdulvakhid Edilgeriev, an administrator of the website "Kavkaz-Centre" recognized by the court as extremist, and a relative of Movladi Udugov, one of the ideologues of the Chechen separatism, was shot and killed not far from his house in Turkey. This was reported by a source from the security services.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in September 2011, the website "Kavkaz-Centre" and its mirrors were recognized in Russia as extremist websites by the Nikulinsky Court of Moscow.

According to the source, Abdulvakhid Edilgeriev was attacked on November 1, when he was returning home from a dinner prayer. According to the "LifeNews", he was the administrator of the website "Kavkaz-Centre", headed by Movladi Udugov, a step-brother of Isa Umarov. Abdulvakhid Edilgeriev was also married to a daughter of Isa Umarov. In his turn, Isa Umarov is considered to be a curator of a Syrian unit of the "Imarat Kavkaz", recognized as a terrorist organization in the USA and Russia.

One of the websites supporting the militants has confirmed the information about the murder in Istanbul of Abdulvakhid Edilgeriev, a relative of Movladi Udugov.

Let us remind you that Movladi Udugov used to hold the post of the Minister of public policy and information at the government of the self-proclaimed Chechen Republic of Ichkeria. He is considered to be the major ideologist of the Chechen separatism.
