Karamakhi residents report on involvement of five persons in murder of Migitin Djavadov

Migitin Djavadov, the head of the village of Karamakhi, was kidnapped by five men, who acted under the guise of law enforcers, an official from the Buynaksk District Administration reports with reference to local residents.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 1, the body of the head of Karamakhi village of the Buynaksk District was found in a forest of the Karabudakhkent District. According to the authorities, on September 30, he was kidnapped from his home by armed men in masks.

The funeral of Migitin Djavadov was held on October 1.

The head of the village was kidnapped by five men, who "pretended to be federal law enforcers." This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by the official from the Buynaksk District Administration, who attended the funeral.

"They tied up the village head and said that they would take him away for an hour 'for interrogation'," said the official from the Buynaksk District Administration.

According to the official, the murder of Migitin Djavadov was completely unexpected for all the people.

"Migitin Djavadov spent all his life working as a teacher. He had no enemies, and, as far as I know, he received no threats," the official has noted.

Migitin Djavadov did not enjoy great popularity in the district. This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by a resident of the village of Karamakhi, who preferred to remain anonymous.

"He opposed the concept of terrorism and extremism. Sometimes, he even very harshly criticized those people, who left 'for the woods' and joined the armed underground," the Karamakhi villager has noted.
