Amnesty International - 43 years of work
On May 28, 1961, lawyer Peter Benenson launched the first campaign to protect political prisoners, which gave birth to Amnesty International.
The largest international organization wages numerous campaigns to support and protect people whose rights are infringed upon and political prisoners. And today, Amnesty International calls upon people to support political prisoner Igor Sutyagin, writing some kind words to him. Amnesty International has waged many campaigns in support of individuals and it knows such letters from outside are of considerable importance for political prisoners. They help them hold out.
