Kmara movement becomes more active in South Osetia
The Committee on Information and Press of the breakaway republic of South Osetia has published a report on its website that visits of activists of the Georgian youth organization Kmara (Enough) to Georgian villages situated on the territory of South Osetia (in the Tskhinvali district) has become more frequent lately.
"During their visits, they meet local young people and introduce them to the activity of their organization and its plans for the future," reported the committee referring to "reliable sources".
"The role of the Kmara movement in the recent developments in Adjaria is widely known. However, this organization gained popularity as early as November 2003, during the Rose Revolution in Georgia. There is not any information on more radical actions of Kmara activists on the territory of South Osetia so far," reads the commission's report.
