Participants in opposition meetings disciplined for disrupting public order, Armenian prosecutor general says

No man has been subjected to administrative penalty only for his/her participation in the latest meetings, all those brought to account have been disciplined for disrupting public order and offering resistance to police officers, Armenian Prosecutor General Agvan Ovsepian told journalists. He denied the reference in the PACE resolution concerning the arrest of journalists and stated there were no journalists among the arrested people. The prosecutor general announced that appropriate decisions had been made regarding people found guilty of fraud and violence during parliamentary and presidential elections in 2003 and criminal procedures had been instituted in connection with breaches of public order, infliction of bodily injuries, and election violations.
