In Sochi, "Rospotrebnadzor" suspends operation of two McDonald's restaurants

In the city of Sochi of the Krasnodar Territory, following the results of the ad hoc inspections, the "Rospotrebnadzor" (Russian Federal Agency for Consumer Supervision) has suspended the operation of two McDonald's restaurants, reported on August 28 the press service of the Russian McDonald's representative office.

Russia has started mass inspections of McDonald's restaurants against the background of restrictions on imports of products from countries that imposed sanctions against Russian companies and officials after Crimea joined Russia and after the armed conflict in the Donbas began.

In Sochi, the "Rospotrebnadzor" has temporarily suspended the activities of the McDonald's fast food restaurant in Moskovskaya Street. Furthermore, the office of the foreign company in Lazarev Street has been temporarily closed, the website of the Russian McDonald's representative office reported on August 28.

Meanwhile, the Russian authorities do not intend to prohibit the McDonald's restaurant chain in Russia, the agency "Prime" quotes Arkady Dvorkovich, the Deputy Prime Minister, as stating on August 28.
