The event, which will run until August 12, is organized by the Government of Dagestan, the Makhachkala Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church, the Spiritual Administration of Muslims (SAM) of Dagestan, and the Interregional Youth laboratory for the development of the Caucasus.

In his conversation with the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent, Pyotr Pavlov, Director of the forum, has noted equal proportions of the participants of the forum, who profess Christianity and Islam.

"The organizers of the forum had to take into account a lot of issues associated with the religious traditions of all participants. Thus, at the opening ceremony, we decided to give up music. The Muslim side has also agreed that on Wednesdays and Fridays, fish dishes will be served, given the orthodox fasting," Pyotr Pavlov has stated.
