Chechen journalist receives citation from Overseas Press Club of America

Chechen journalist Timur Aliyev has become a laureate of the 2003 Artyom Borovik Award, instituted by the New York-based Overseas Press Club of America. Timur Aliyev received the second prize - the Citation Award - for the series of paper articles he wrote as a part-time journalist for The Moscow Times. The Club called this series "Contemporary Chechnya". It also mentioned Aliyev's materials for the Institute for War & Peace Reporting, Great Britain, and for the Moskovsky Komsomolets and Russky Kurier newspapers, reads the press release by the Award organizational committee.
