Abkhazia ready for provocations during Georgian military exercises
The Georgian army will exercise in the area of the city of Poti from April 30 till May 2. The Georgian defense ministry plans to involve large forces in the exercises: approximately 1,000 soldiers, the air force and navy. "The Armed Forces of Abkhazia are ready to respond if provocations against our republic are launched under cover of the exercises," Deputy Defense Minister of Abkhazia Garri Kupalba said. There is no need for the Abkhazian army to go on higher state of alert because of the exercises, he added at the same time.
