Hearing in case of Russians to continue in Qatar

The hearing in the case of the Russians accused of murdering Zelimkhan Yandarbiyev is to continue in the capital of Qatar on April 26. Several witnesses will be listened to today, and then the date of the next sitting will be announced, reported Russian Ambassador to Qatar Viktor Kudryavtsev.

The trial started on April 11. The Russians declared their innocence. The court put off the hearing so that attorneys had time to familiarize themselves with the materials of the case.

The attempt on Yandarbiyev was committed on February 13. The Chechen separatist leader's car was blown up when he was going home from a mosque. Three Russians were taken into custody on February 19. One of them, Aleksandr Fetisov, was released since he had a diplomatic passport. The other two were articled.
