Ingushetia: conference discusses fighting against extremist ideology

At the conference held in Ingushetia, about 40 persons have discussed law-enforcement practice in the fight against the ideology of extremism and terrorism in Northern Caucasus. Following the results of the meeting, the participants of the conference have made a decision to strengthen the prevention of exposure to extremist ideology among young people. This was reported by the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

On May 15, the five-hour conference was held at the premises of health-care complex "Armkhi". The conference was attended by religious and community leaders and by officials from the ministries responsible for the activities of the media of North-Caucasian republics. This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by Timur Bokov, the head of the Media Relations Department of the administration of the Ingush leader.

At present, according to Timur Bokov, the basic actions to promote the ideology of extremism were transferred to the Internet. And the participants of the conference have discussed, in particular, the ways to counter this phenomenon.

Following the results of the meeting, the participants of the conference have adopted a resolution, which refers to the feasibility of establishing a regional public institution "Centre of spiritual and moral education of young people". According to the participants of the conference, the institution will contribute to protection against extremist ideology. This was stated by Timur Bokov.
