11 Russian soldiers killed in Chechnya in one day

11 Russian servicemen were killed in Chechnya on April 12, a source at the republican administration reported. According to the source, five people were killed as a result of fire on a military convoy near Shali, another nine soldiers suffered. Five servicemen were killed and six received wounds as a result of fire on "the Russian military positions during the day", the source said. The 11th soldier died when a military vehicle hit a landmine.
