About 50 "Mekhk-Kkhel" hunger-strikers detained by police in Ingushetia, Idris Abadiev reports

The police of Ingushetia detained about 50 participants of the hunger striker, held by the public movement "Mekhk-Kkhel." Four hunger-strikers are still kept at the Nazran OVD (Interior Division), and their lawyers are not allowed to visit them. One participant of the protest action was seriously injured during the detention. This was reported by Idris Abadiev, the head of the public organization.

"They are all kept at the Nazran GOVD (City Interior Division). Musa Abadiev was beaten," stated the user with the nickname "Amina" at the website of the "Mekhk-Kkhel".

By evening, almost all detainees were released. By midnight, four hunger-strikers were still kept at the OVD. They are members of the Supreme Council of the "Mekhk-Kkhel" Saradjin Sadygov, Sultan-Giri Khashagulgov, Musa Albogachiev, and Timur Abadziev. All detainees are not allowed to be visited by lawyers. It became also known that Musa Abadiev, one more hunger-striker, was seriously injured during the detention," the "Novaya Gazeta" reports with reference to Idris Abadiev.

Magomed Mutsolgov, the Ingush human rights activist and the head of the human rights organization "MASHR", criticized the authorities' actions.

"The authorities themselves repeatedly broke the law, and they are guilty of the fact that people go on hunger strike, which is not forbidden by the law. The today's hunger strike is a move of desperation of people, who have lost hope for the better. However, the actions of the authorities just struck us by their blasphemy and inhumanity," Magomed Mutsolgov wrote in his blog on the "Caucasian Knot".
